Beautiful Butterflies come together to Organize and Prepare Backpacks

You’ve heard the saying, “It takes a village to raise a child?” We have seen first hand how it takes a village to help someone towards recovery. I want to take a moment to thank all the beautiful ladies that came out to help me organize my butterfly room and assemble backpacks. A special butterfly thanks goes to Kathy, Dawana, Jeanne, Kathy, Lynn, Becky, Sara, Vivienne and Marie.  These ladies donated their time and items to help butterfly backpacks. It was wonderful having each and every one of you available to help spread love and support. Remember that offering your time to Butterfly Backpacks can be just as beneficial as a financial donation. Visit our Donate page for more ideas on ways to give and always “Be Butterfly Beautiful.”

I just watched “The Day My Sister Died” on YouTube. Meagan reminds me so much of myself! I was a late drug starter/user (in my 30’s. I first used at 32, 8 months later got clean with the help of suboxone and stayed clean 6 years. I recently relapsed 6/2020 and am struggling still to get completely sober. I am on methadone and kick the habit for a few weeks and relapse again. I’m still trying I’m still fighting. Thank you for sharing your sisters/daughters story. It does dishearten me that this website doesn’t seem to be updated since 2016. Hopefully it just “seems” that way. I can understand of this was a coping method & I know she will never be forgotten. I don’t even know her and won’t forget. Thank you for all you do!
